The 2015-2016 Write for Texas project year has launched with impressive growth in outreach and number of campuses receiving support. This year, the project is active in 27 sites across the state (up from 18 in year one), including all 20 regional education service centers (ESCs), as well as seven university-based National Writing Project sites. Numbers of both coaches and schools (grades 6-12) designated as part of the Write for Texas project have increased since the program's inaugural year in 2014-2015. The graphic below illustrates the immeasurable overall impact that Write for Texas is making on writing instruction for teachers and students across our state. To download the image, click here.
